𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄 # 𝟔𝟔𝟏 (𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏) Hello Ader, My name is Khushnuman, and I’m trying to 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I’ve started building my family tree on ancestry, with input from relatives who’re now getting very old to remember names and places. Let me give you a brief understanding of where I am and what I seek. Additionally, I got my DNA testing done, which provided me with several matches, none of which lead to anything. My paternal grandfather was born in Multan, in undivided India. Two years after his birth, his mother passed on. He was then raised by his dad and step mother. There are many stories he told me about Multan. All happy and warm. If my understanding is correct there is a Parsi cemetery in Multan. I’m almost certain my great grand mother is buried there. Her maiden name was Manekbai Gotla. Her married name would have been 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐢 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚. She died in Multan in 1906. I’m assuming she’s buried in the Parsi cemetery in Multan. If there is someone in Multan who could help me, it’d be a huge help. I could call or email whoever I need to. Additionally, do you know if there are records of births and deaths for parsis in Calcutta? My grandmother 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫 was one of 12 children, and was raised in Calcutta. Any leads you could provide would be immensely helpful. Thank you, Khushnuman Patel kpp2271@gmail.com. If you have any information, please write directly to Khushnuman Patel kpp2271@gmail.com and copy AderGandi@Gmail.com so it can be recorded as a solved case. Thank you. Be sure to mention the case #.
