Dear Mr. Gandi, My name is Bomi Billimoria but I am not the person you are looking for. Although we share a name, we were not related but his wife Roda was a distant relation on my mother’s side. My contact with them was limited to a very few meetings at family functions. On inquiring with some family members, I came to learn that both Bomi and Roda have passed away in Mumbai within the last few years. I was not able to ascertain further details such as precisely when or how. I’m afraid I have no more information about them but I believe, considering the source, that this limited information must be correct. Regards, Bomi S. Billimoria <bomibillimoria@yahoo.com>.

I am trying to trace 𝐦𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 who bore the surname 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐣𝐢 but either through marriage or conversion to Christianity, took on the surname 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫. I believe the family resided in Maharashtra (probably Bombay) but one male member (Robert Taylor, my grandfather) married Gladys Nuttall about 1930 and had three children, Clarence, Iris and Norman. Robert Taylor was probably born in the early 1900s and he sent his two male children to study at St Peters School in Mazagaon. Alan Daniel TAYLOR <adtaylor33@gmail.com>. Hello Sir/Madam, I am looking for my mother’s colleague and friend named 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚 from Mumbai, India. Approximate age – 65. Back in the 1971 era, my mother and Shireen were colleagues, working together for 2 years in the night shift as a telephone operator in the telephone exchange at VT -( Victoria Terminus, Mumbai India) back then. Hi, I am trying to find my college class mate 𝐌𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐢. We studied in H R College of Commerce at Churchgate, Mumbai from 1975 to 1979. Thru some sources I was given to understand that she had moved to USA in the 1990’s but it is not a confirmed news. I will appreciate your assistance in helping me locate her. She was a very very good friend of mine. Thanks, Chandru Samtani <cms@peerandpeer.com>. I Googled and gathered that (Sir) Phiroze Cursetjee Sethna, Esq., O.B.E., was the Bombay Manager of the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, as per 4402^-SUPPLEMENT TO THE LONDON GAZETTE, 3 JULY, 1926 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/…/supplement/4402/data.pdf . With a slightly different spelling of the middle name we have a 𝐌𝐫. 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐣𝐢 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐧𝐚, J.P., Ex. Municipal Councillor (1915 – 1916) of the (then) Bombay Municipality (now) Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Forwarded by Dara: 2DaraS Acidwalla <2darasacidwalla@gmail.com>, from Fali Engineer <faliengineer@sbcglobal.net>.
𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄 #𝟔𝟕𝟕 (𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏) Dear Ader, This is further to the email “Phiroze Cursetji sethna” from Mrs Prochy Mehta <prochymehta@hotmail.com >. She has forwarded three (3) attachments from PARSI STATUES by Marzban J. Giara. The first is a picture of 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐣𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐧𝐚 who was the grandson of Dhunjibhai Behramji Mehta of Calcutta. The second is Page 140 from the book where the biography of Sir Phiroze begins. And the third attachment tells us that Sir Phiroze died in 1938 while the book was being printed. Besides, Mrs Prochy Mehta also says that with your help she hopes to connect with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐣𝐢 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐭𝐚 who had built an Agiary in Kolkata. In an earlier email it says: I am looking for any 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐣𝐢 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐭𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐚. Phiroze Cursetji Sethna was the eldest son of his daughter Dinbai married to Cursetji Sethna. So I presume there were other brothers and sisters and their families who would qualify as descendants. Would appreciate it if you widened your search among family and friends. Thank you. With best wishes, dara: 2DaraS Acidwalla <2darasacidwalla@gmail.com>. I have been for a very long time, many years in fact, trying to reach out to two of my very close friends from Bombay, but have not been successful. Just to give you a brief, I was a cabin crew with Air India and the two people I am trying to touch base with are: 𝐙𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚 (𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟) & 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐙𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐫. Both the people were my colleagues and we flew with Air India together from 1978 – 1997. Based out of Bombay. Apart from that, if there is anything you need to know that will assist you in finding them for me would be so good. Would be so, so very grateful if you could help me locate the above two friends of mine. In anticipation. Anxiously, Roz DeCouto <rozalinds@hotmail.com>.
